After the break-up of "Mercury 4F°", FLATMAN and ROLE met the singer ANDI FRICK, formerly of "Burning Chrome"/"Run Chicken Run" in autumn 97. With MT ROBO FRIDGE MONSTER ("ex-Chicken", too) they found the ideal bass player, since his band "Monsoon" declined. From December 97 on, the Zurich-Basel connection became a full band.
Only four months later, they played their first concerts. In 2002, the new drummer DOMINIQUE joins the group, while Role leaves for the Lombego Surfers. HONEYRYDER sweats, likes dirty blues, rock 'n' roll, loud distorted guitars and people with a bad smell!
In spring 2003 the band recorded their first album, in Savoyes, under the direction of Baron von Schmock. Neither snow-shoveling for hours, nor a congested chimney could stop the band from realising their musical vision! The album can be found in every well-stocked record store!
In the following years HONEYRYDERS went through some line-up changes but finally, they found with Richi (ex-Dwarfish) the missing guitar player. With the new line-up, new songs and sounds they started to play live shows all over Switzerland. In May 2009 HONEYRYDER will release a Mini-LP/ CD called "Crab Key"
